AC and heating tune-ups

In this climate an air conditioner can run eight months a year. A tune-up in spring and a heating check in fall catch the small failures behind most breakdowns.

Good times to book one

  • Before the first 90-degree week
  • Before the first cold front
  • Right after you move into a house
  • When the system hasn't been serviced in over a year

What a tune-up covers

  • Clean and inspect the outdoor coil
  • Test capacitors, contactor, and electrical connections
  • Check refrigerant pressures and temperature split
  • Flush the condensate drain line
  • Inspect filter, blower, and thermostat operation
  • Written notes on anything that needs attention

Questions about tune-ups and maintenance

Once a year at minimum. For homes around Houston, twice a year is better: cooling in spring and heating in fall.

Yes. Tell us when you book and we'll reach out before the next season.
