Heating repair
Houston winters are short, but a cold snap with no heat is miserable. We repair gas furnaces, heat pumps, and the electric heat strips most local homes rely on.
Signs your heat needs a look
- The heat runs but the air stays cool
- A burning smell lasts past the first few minutes of the season
- The furnace starts, then shuts itself off
- The heat pump is iced over and stays that way
- The ignitor clicks but the burners never light
What we fix
- Furnace ignitors, flame sensors, and safety switches
- Heat pump defrost and reversing valve problems
- Electric heat strips and sequencers
- Gas and venting safety checks
- Thermostats that won't switch to heat

Questions about heating repair
A dusty smell for the first few minutes of the season is normal. A smell that lingers, or smells electrical, is not. Turn the system off and call.
Light frost in cold weather is normal, and the defrost cycle clears it. A solid block of ice, or ice that sticks around for hours, means something is wrong.
